Novytska Mariia in missione istituzionale a Milano, ospite di dot Academy

Domenica scorsa abbiamo ospitato in dot Academy, nello Spazio 78, Novytska Mariia Volodymyrivna, la Regional Coordinator delle Public Relations del Parlamento Ucraino per i Diritti Umani.
Gli istituti Stati Generali delle Donne e Food Future Institute hanno scelto la nostra location per ospitare parte della missione istituzionale nel capoluogo lombardo.
Nel corso del pomeriggio sono state discusse importanti tematiche con lo scopo di sviluppare e rafforzare i legami tra le istituzioni europee ed italiane.

From March 25 to 28 2022 in the cities of Bari and Milan, the regional coordinator for public relations of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Maria Novitska met
with representatives of European, national and local institutions of Italy,
with representatives of European, national and local institutions of Italy, with Dr. Massimo Ferrara, President of the Ukrainian-Italian Chamber of Commerce,
as part of a program organized by the Italian Women Union, Stati Generali delle Donne and Future Food Institute, and lead by their Director of Institutional Relations, Claudia Laricchia, as responsible of the agenda.
Maria Novitska noted that the purpose of the meetings is to develop institutional ties with European and Italian institutions to build a strong union.
In turn, representatives of the Italian Women’s Union Stati Generali delle Donne stressed the need for bilateral and collective meetings to enhance cooperation and promote dialogue aimed at building peace.
On the other hand, Future Food Institute is going to open an international Campus in Pollica (SA) dedicated to Food Diplomacy and Mediterranean lifestyle, which will hos Ukrainane refugees for training experiences.
Among others, there were also meetings with the Member of the European Parliament Pierfrancesco Majorino, the Head of the European Commission Representation in Milan Massimo Gaudina, Head of European Parliament in Milano and Head of press office of the European Parliament in Italy Maurizio Molinari, the Representative of Italian Parliament and Councilor of the Municipality of Bologna Luca Rizzo Nervo. Italy is actively working on the placement of Ukrainian citizens, promotes job search and schools for children. We have created a single register of information to facilitate the dissemination of information on the registration of our citizens.

EU support to help Member States meet the needs of refugees

During the meetings, ideas were actively discussed to lay the groundwork for concrete actions that will help overcome the humanitarian, cultural, economic, political, medical, food, climate and environmental crisis in Ukraine.
It should be noted that according to information provided by the Deputy Mayor of Bari Eugenio Di Sciascio, since the beginning of the full-scale military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, more than a hundred Ukrainian refugees have arrived in the city. Also, representatives of the city administration assured that they hospitably receive Ukrainian refugees arriving in the city.
